| Description: | Formed in 1974. Prolix are also the inventors of the musical genre of Frankensteinian Funk as described by Bass Player magazine.
Prolix consists of nearly 2 dozen members who write and record all songs in their individual eclectic ways. Most songs feature a mix of searing lead guitar, funky bass, fuzzy organ, dynamic male vocals, bone-rattling drumbeats, trembling Tuvan Throat Singing, bastardizing bagpipes, boom boom boom boom beatbox, xyclon zube tube, spoons, spacious synthesizers, and Didgeridoo. Imagine stomping flat-footed through a mud puddle, and you have part of the Frankensteinian Funk of Prolix. |
