| Description: | DGM originally form in 1994 as an entirely instrumental band.
The original line-up features Diego Reali (guitar), Maurizio Pariotti (keyboards) and Gianfranco Tassella (drums), with the addition, one year later, of Marco Marchiori (bass). Soon the band’s live performances become very frequent, and worth mentioning is DGM’s appearance at the Rock Innovation Festival, where the band come 2nd out of 48 bands!
During this period the band start working on their first official release, the self-produced mini CD ‘Random Access Zone’, which features the superb voice of newly-recruited Luciano Regoli. Formerly in several Italian bands of the seventies (Raccomandata con Ricevuta di Ritorno, Ritratto di Dorian Gray, Samadhy), Luciano is able to bring his own personal style to DGM, mixing his "seventies mark" with the power vein of the band.
The mini CD receives a very positive response in the power-speed metal scene, therefore the guys decide to produce their first full-length album; in the summer of ‘97 the band complete ‘Change Direction’, which comes out in November of the same year. |
